Code Orange for 2003 FIA Rallye de Quebec!
Team Havspeed.com are on form to be the top two-wheel drive teamon
the first event of the 2003 FIA RSNA (Rally Series North America)
Championship,
February 26th through March 2nd.   Based in historic Quebec City, this
years'
event promises to be a grueling test for it's participants, with the
promise
of extremely icy conditions and sub-zero temperatures.
After a dominant class win at the 2002 FIA Rallye International
Charlevoix, driver Andrew Havas and co-driver Eric "T" will once
again be looking to build on their ever increasing CV of successes.
The seeded draw has the team starting 14th on the road, the first
of the two-wheel drive cars. "For sure this is going to be a tricky
event for everyone," said Havas, "and especially for us with rear-drive.
Conditions for Quebec are traditionally very icy and barring any
big snowfalls, this years' rally shouldn't be any different. However,
we intend to surprise as many four-wheel drive teams as possible!"
The team are also planning a number of surprises in the central
service park, as a part of their ever-increasing promotional program.
At Charlevoix, the inaugural "Most Orange Fan" contest was a great
success, and they are looking forward to bigger things in Quebec
City. CHOI 98.1FM Radio 'X' has extended its support of the "Orange
Team" for the event, and expect a large draw from their hometown
audience of over 250,000 listeners. "It's going to be huge!" said
an animated Eric "T" of the prospects. "We will be concentrating
on the promotional aspects of the rally more than anything else.
We need to impress here if we are to realize the significant sponsorship
program we are working so hard to achieve. It's fantastic to have
the exclusive support of the most powerful radio station in Quebec
City, CHOI 98.1 FM Radio."
The "Orange Team" will be fighting for
overall positions with no less than five North American Rally Champions,
including David Higgins, but are still hoping to feature prominently
in the final results. "We've had numerous top-five performances
on major North American rallies attended by the best teams, including
Prodrive, so I am always hoping to improve on that. No matter how
the odds are stacked!" said Havas.
