Team Concerto will impress in 2003

After a first season when the bases were thrown and some dreams were carried out, the team Coyote Rally continues her association with Concerto, the banner which brings together 25 significant manufacturers of doors and windows in Quebec. Coyote Rally, it is a team of three members of the same family, Jacques, Antoine and Mathieu L'Estage, the father and his two sons which will take part in the 2003 Canadian Rally Championship which will begin at at the beginning of February at Maniwaki.

At the beginning of season last year, they taked part in a North-American premiere while being the first family of three members to be taking the beginning of a rally at the same time. They repeated at three other times during the season.

« It was a goal which I had cherished for several years, Jacques acknowledges. Except that in addition to carrying out this dream, we realized that we were all the three competitive ones: Mathieu could have gained the Québec Cup title with a little chance, Antoine regularly signed top 5 times and I found myself in the top ten for a guy who carried out a return after ten years. We thus decided to continue the experiment with the support of Concerto. But in 2003, we will be very competitive. » 

Jacques : a STI WRX
Frustrated not to finish the stages because of a fragile mechanics, Jacques L'Estage will take seat in very new Subaru WRX STi in opened class, a new car of the Terrecan preparer Sylvain Duval, an integral delivering not less than 300 horsespower. In order to complete the team, Jacques ensured himself to make team with B. Gilles Lacroix, the more experienced copilot of quebec « I believe that we will be impressive, adds Jacques. The WRX is a new car which will perhaps have its youth problems, but with B Gilles, they will be very exciting since we know each other since the years 70's, without never to have worked together. His experience will benefit all the team. »

Mathieu : In national Cup
For the junior L'Estage, the new season will allow him to expressed himself in Production 4 Class in Nationnal. Incontestably one of best at regional last year, he prefers to race against the best nationals with his 225 horsespower Eagle Talon. It will be co-driven by Yvan Racette. « I hope to learn well with the large sizes before going to the maximum, continues Mathieu. We always pushed inside our limits to avoid crashes. And deserved good results. We will still go in the same direction »

Antoine : An Highlighted year
For the best beginner at the country here two years, 2002 were one year of transition with the acquisition of an Hyundai Elantra and collaboration with John Buffum, rewarded by superb 5th position at the International Rally of Charlevoix. Recent association with Hyundai Chateauguay will give much depth to the team - Yanick Napert is back as co-driver for a third year - which aspires regularly to podiums and which could deserve his first victory on the National Cup.  

The three cars of the Coyote Team are supported by CONCERTO, the revolutionary All PVC window.
